"G. I. Foot Locker"

Every Soldier of UNCLE SAM & The Statue of Liberty knows and loves their wooden Foot Locker. Your "Drill Sergeant" made you learn how to fold your socks, underwear, and T-Shirts, Towels, Handkerchiefs, Bible, Letters, etc., and to arrange them neatly, exactly like everyone else in your Company arranged their stuff. They gave you a "layout" "S.O.P." (standard operating procedure) chart, that showed EXACTLY how you were to place everything. There is a drawer in your Foot Locker that lifts out, to reveal a larger bottom storage area, where certain items of Field Gear where also to be arranged, also exactly as you were shown. About the time you caught on to it, you were told to get your Barracks scrubbed GOOD (called a "G. I. Party"), to scrub and shave yourself, get in your Dress uniform, and prepare for your first Saturday Morning "Inspection" by your "Commanding Officer" (usually a Captain). You were 18 years old, you had only ever seen glimpses of your Commanding Officer, this was VietNam Era, and you were preparing to go shoot at (for what I now know to be, damn good reasons) as many Communists as you could. You were told that if you ever had to be talking to your Commanding Officer (unless he initiated  the conversation), that you were probably in a LOT of trouble. Our Foot Locker for your G.I. JOE, is 1/6th the size of your Foot Locker, but you can teach G.I. JOE how to "stand tall" when his "Commanding Officer" and "Drill Sergeant" come to inspect his bed area, Wall Locker, Foot Locker, Uniforms, Highly Polished Boots, and Combat Equipment. Just like your Foot Locker, this one has the same working Drawer that lifts out.

Click on these 2 examples of sample "Foot  Locker"  (showing working Drawer inside), and arranged by our Bunkbeds:
