"M4A3 Sherman Tank" Photo Walkaround

Large Caliber Ammunition for Artillery and Tanks

Shell casings of just fired "75mm" and "76mm" Tank Gun Ammunition tell the tale of today's fight!

A Sherman Tank Detachment of the "23rd Armor, U.S. 3rd Armored Division" reinforced us today. Just in time!

1 Sherman Tank with 75mm Main Gun, one with a 76mm Main Gun, one with a 105mm Main Gun.

They worked together, because without teamwork, they could not win....

....with teamwork, they did.

This is how close the enemy was to one of our front line resupply points!

As fast as we could refuel and rearm our Shermans, they were going back out into an immediate fight!

We did not fail them, they did not fail us!

Has only been minutes since several targets were on the horizon....it's calm right now,

but that tough little boxer out there is coming in to "top off" again!

We've got to again be the best "pit crew" they've ever seen.

We lose those 3 Shermans, we could lose everything!

We've already pulled off the piles, all he needs to top off on ammo, gas, water, food.

....plus DOC is handy, just in case!

Our Infantrymen have been peeling the enemy infantry's cap all day....they came in with heavy weapons to take out our Tankers!

But we separated their Infantry from their Tanks, instead of the other way around!

Here, I'll let this "Sergeant First Class" tell you more....

See those 2 big "cartridges" (shells) black with silver tip warhead?

By those 2 crates of .30 Machinegun Ammunition, below those 6 five gallon cans of gasoline,

and to the left of those 2 five gallon cans of water?

Well, those are some of our "105mm HE" High Explosive ammunition.

Those 3 bad boys right there, upper left (above the .30 Machinegun metal ammo boxes).....

with the pointed tip black warheads?

Those are "76mm HVAP" High Velocity Armor Piercing.

That's why those Tigers and Panthers out there, get real "nervous in the service",

cause those 3 bad boys can rip them up too!

These 2 (central) are "75mm White Phosphorous" Cartridges.

They scare the hell out of the enemy's infantry and lesser armored vehicles!

Those 2 (central) are "75mm Cannister Cartridges"....

like "Shotgun Shells" full of iron pellets (for our Sherman 75mm)....

when the enemy gets too many infantrymen too close in to us,

the Sherman 75mm Tank Gunner fires some of these to help mop them up for us!

And those 2 pointed tip Cartridges, to the right of the Cannister rounds (and below the .50 Machinegun Ammunition belts) ,

are "75mm HE-APC-T" Cartridges (Armor Piercing Capped, with Tracer).

And this monster, is a German 88mm Cartridge we took off a "KingTiger" that was abandoned by its tank crew.

Those numbers on the tail tell us:

This vehicle is assigned to the "3rd Armored Division",

and assigned to the "23rd Armored Brigade" of the 3rd Armor;

on the right side, we are informed that this Tank is the

18th vehicle of Company C", of the 23rd Armor.

The numbers here tell us:

this is vehicle number 3066192 of the United States Army (known as "The USA").

The "White Star" tells us that these Soldiers, their Army, their People & Nation,

have living, good souls.....they are ENLIGHTENED; thus, a bright white STAR.

They know and serve "God the Father (Jehovah)", Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit, and

these Soldiers know and follow God's  rules, morals, and ethics.

That is why their National Flag has WHITE stripes and WHITE stars, it represents SOUL COLOR... not skin color.

Back to business!
