Dr. & Mrs. Santa Claus' TOYS creation Workshop

The Way We Were:

Doc & Joyce gave birth to hundreds of 1/6th scale "Made In The USA" TOYS right on a Kitchen Counter.

December 2007: The Way we Are Now:

5 "Workstations" in view; "Shipping & Receiving" to left front, "Power Tools" to left rear, "Molding" to center rear,

"Assembly" to right rear, "Painters Spray Booth & Drying Heat Surround" to right front.

"Shipping & Receiving" : 6 feet long by 30 inches deep, to accomodate Shipping large TOYS.

"Power Tool" workstation, is 8 feet long by 36 inches deep.

Will soon have a superstructure of "lumber racks" to sort and store large volumes of precut wood sheets & sticks.

"Molding" Workstation (center rear).

Will be workplace for molding low temperature Metal, for molding RESIN plastics, for molding soft rubber, for molding hard rubber.

It is 8 feet long by 30 inches wide, to accomodate large mold parts.

Presently reigning supreme on our "Assembly Area" are

Dragon "Delta Force Leo" (1/6th scale) with 2 custom made Oak Armchairs.

The "Assembly area" is 8 feet long by 4 feet wide.

When not being used as a TOYS assembly line, it will double as our

Photography & Cinematography "Soundstage" where we can build any scenery and structures needed for new photos.

Looking to the center rear, past our "Assembly" line, we see the not yet completed "Painter's Workstation".

It will have a superstructure divided into 2 parts atop the worktop.

A "Painters' Spraybooth" on the left side, 40 inches long by 36 inches deep by 48 inches tall, with powered exhaust fan and lighting.

A "Painters' Drying Booth" with powered exhaust fan and multiple banks surrounding the freshly painted TOYS with heat lamps, to

assure the set of a good finish.

Large 1/6th scale radio controlled vehicles are easily stored beneath any workstation (like a carport) until they rumble forth for our next movie!

Just like Hollywood, we use the same mold making materials.

Except that this is used to build rubber molds, for low melt temperature metals.

These plasticized strips are used to build "fences" around large scale molds; they keep expensive mold making rubber from leaking away.

At $27.50 a pound for our mold making rubber, I think it's a GREAT idea to prevent waste!

The RUBBER and DYE used to make molded authentic TIRES for scale vehicles.

Components for casting SOFT RUBBER toys parts.

"Mini Casting Kit" for rapidly making a small resin plastic item.

"Regular" alumilite casting resin, for making larger TOYS.

Gallon sized bottles of "Alumilite White" for molding the largest molds, and for best ability to calculate quantities of DYES to get desired parts colors.

Graduated "beakers" to aid dispensing bivalent casting resin components and catalyst.

However, quantities of each resin component are measured by WEIGHT, not by liquid volume.

Either spray is necessary to spray into mold surfaces where resin will be injected, so resin parts do not stick to molds when

you wish to demold the completed TOYS.

Either product must be used, to prevent the separate rubber sides of "2 part molds" from sticking together, when you wish to demold.

Some of the DYES we use to add desired COLORS to resin plastic parts.

Metallic powders applied appropriately to resin molds before clamping sides together and pouring resin in, gives a

true metallic finish to molded TOYS.

The bright silverish METAL block in the photo, is "CROWN PEWTER". It contains NO LEAD, and

satisfactorily melts and molds at low temperatures, making it highly suited for casting metal parts.

It is known SAFE for TOYS because it is what Dentists use to create "fillings" for teeth!

Special CLEAR strong glue, used to make "invisible" bonds to plastic and clear plastics, such as needed for inserting TOYS windshields.

Another STYRENE plastic technique that aids us.

We are bearing the expense, to support manufacturing that our resellers and clients need. AND, doing it by the book!

We remain ready and willing, to meet your hobby needs!

We are both a "Disabled American Veteran" Enterprise AND a "Women In Business" Enterprise!
