Overall shot of our "Old Glory Gunners' Mate School". Before we send our "U.S. NAVY" and "U.S. COAST GUARD" action figures out for their maiden voyage sea cruise, they must all pass certification training at our land based gunner school at FORT KAFFENBERGER. This assures that the crew, passengers, and cargo, on board our ships, are protected by qualified and experienced gunners, that can and do use a variety of light and heavy weapons very well. We have our "landship" training lab here, that simulates a ship at sea, that teaches maritime miltary courtesy, maritime fire fighting, rescues, standard operating procedures, naval aviation, hospital corpsman skills, and naval gunnery. Our "landship" is a memorial to the Battleship "U.S.S. ARIZONA" and the courage of her crew....past, present, and future. "American Kids" from all over our Country served on the ARIZONA crew. The instructor here (wearing the orange life jacket) , appears to be a survivor of the ARIZONA sinking (during the infamous PEARL HARBOR sneak attack, by the "Yakuza" of Japan, against America's peace and freedom, on 7 DECEMBER, 1941); and our Instructor stills enjoys wearing his WW2 style helmet. He wears his dark blue jeans to indicate that he has achieved full manhood, by completing training at a Federal school of our Nation of Americans, thus the dark blue, known as "Federal Blue" or "Prussian Blue". Note from our American Flag (aka: "Old Glory") the Prussian Blue "field" where Prussian spirited Officers (using the methods they learned from American Revolutionary War GENERAL Von STEUBEN) trained the STARS of our Christian Children (during service "in the field")...they EARNED the STARS of our Flag, because they became trained to be "outstanding in their field". General Von STEUBEN, a nobleman of the Germanic Nation called "PRUSSIA" (then NOT the World's largest ARMY, but indisputably the BEST ARMY, soldier for soldier...because of their extremely high "self-discipline"), was a "Major" (an Officer Rank) in the Prussian ARMY, which at the time of "The American Revolution" was an ARMY during peacetime (in Prussia). Evenso, Major Von STEUBEN had earned the reputation of being THE BEST "Military Training Officer" in the World. "American Doctor BENJAMIN FRANKLIN" (The cool looking guy on the U.S. $100 bill), knowing that American Civilians "drafted (by necessity) into emergency wartime service" were getting slaughtered in the (American) "Revolutionary War" (time period 1774-1783 A.D.) (because they lacked "self- discipline", an essential of survival, and an essential of VICTORY) was searching for such an Officer, and traveled to Prussia, to meet and hire "Major Von STEUBEN", IF he was as good as he was reputed to be. Dr. Franklin stayed and observed Major Von STEUBEN at length, and decided he very definitely was that damn good, and just what some "Damn Yankees" needed, in order to WIN! Major Von STEUBEN accompanied Dr. Franklin back to America, and Dr. Franklin introduced Von STEUBEN to the "Continental Congress of the United States" as (3 Stars) LIEUTENANT GENERAL Von STEUBEN...Major Von STEUBEN whispered to Dr. Franklin "But you know that I am only a Major!"...Dr. Franklin replied...Shush! I know what I am doing...If I introducing you to the Congress as a Major, they will only hire you as a "Major"...and the American Soldiers will not sufficient respect what you teach to them...but if you show up as a "LIEUTENANT GENERAL" (3 Star General) then the Soldiers will have to pay attention to you. Thus the Congress hired and "commissioned" "LIEUTENANT GENERAL Von STEUBEN", who became General GEORGE WASHINGTON's highest ranking "Training Officer" and the United States' first "Inspector General". |
